The new seven-color black Septone? inkset from Sundance Image Technology is designed for use with the Epson Stylus Pro 7600/9600 and the Epson Stylus Photo 2200. The Septone inkset comprises three neutral cool ink components, three warm ink components, and a neutral black ink. The neutral cool and the neutral black ink components are the same as Sundance's Neutral Cool ink set; the warm ink components are newly formulated and are based on SundanceNC chemistry.
Using Sundance proprietary software technology to drive the Epson printheads, the user can maintain complete control over the degree of “warmth” and “coolness” over three density channels. Epson Stylus 2200 users can choose the Septone Photoshop Plug-in (Windows and Mac compatible), or the PixelPicasso RIP (Windows only); users of the Stylus Pro 7600 or 9600 must utilize the PixelPicasso RIP.
