Summa, Inc., which makes and distributes graphic-imaging products for the signmaking, labeling, aerospace and outdoor-advertising industries, has purchased 2.8 acres in the Centennial Park business development in Peabody, MA. The company plans to build its new East Coast headquarters on the site. The new facility will have 13,000 sq ft for offices and 20,000 sq ft for a warehouse and is scheduled for completion late next year.
The headquarters will offer expanded sales, training, and support services to Summa's retail customers in the East Coast region and will enable Summa to respond in a more speedy manner to the inventory needs of its dealers in the region. The facility will also house expanded dealer and customer services for the Canadian and Latin American markets.
Summa also announced a strategic alliance with ND Graphics of Canada to co-develop new vinyl-cutting solutions that ND Graphics can market and support throughout Canada. The new cutters will be based on Summa's SummaSign? Pro and SummaCut? plotters and incorporate new features and options. Summa-brand cutters are currently available from ND Graphics. The first co-branded products are scheduled to launch in late summer. (Summa: www.summausa.com; ND Graphics: www.ndgraphics.com)
