Smithers Pira's 'Future of Functional and Industrial Print' Report

Smithers Pira has released “The Future of Functional and Industrial Print to 2022” report examining the emerging areas of print outside the traditional graphics and packaging markets. The report includes profiles of leaders in the industrial print supply chain; quantitative five-year global market forecasts based on printing method, end use, and geographic region; and developments in functional and industrial print, including inkjet, printed glass, and printed ceramics.

The report sizes the 2016 global market at $75 billion and expects it to reach $123 billion by 2022 with an average CAGR of 8.3 percent. The authors see this growth as an opportunity for print companies to diversify and for manufacturers to move into new markets.
