SGIA Explores Packaging Market

SGIA President and CEO Ford Bowers met with representatives from Durst, EFI, Fujifilm, HP, and Inca Digital in February to address the need for an industry resource as the packaging market embraces digital printing technology. SGIA, currently involved in the wide-format graphic, textile, and industrial printing markets, looks to expand to this .

Bowers notes in a release that many PSPs work in multiple segments – “commercial, display graphics, industrial and garment printers, and packaging converters” – and could benefit from utilizing SGIA as a resource for multiple markets.

”The is firmly moving down the path of digital adoption. A single presence that encompasses a range of technologies and venues for exchanging information will be a strong benefit to them,” he adds.
