Roland Announces Vehicle Graphics Contest Winners

PJ Brassard of LogosPrint.com in Albany, NY, has won the grand prize for the first-ever Roland Wrap Vehicle Graphics Contest, a North American competition for the best Scion xB vehicle graphics design.

Brassard”?s winning design, a multi-colored graphic titled “Roland Innovation,”? was selected from more than 400 entries. Brassard has been awarded a trip to Las Vegas for the SGIA “?06 conference as well as a new Roland VersaCamm SP-300V 30-in. inkjet printer/cutter, and his winning design will be featured in the Roland SGIA exhibit on the company”?s official Scion xB.

Brassard, who holds a BFA degree from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, is a junior partner with Albany-based LogosPrint.com (www.logosprint.com). The company opened in 2005 as a division of local marketing firm Logos Marketing, specializing in the creation of signage and other large-format graphics. In August of this year, LogosPrint.com launched 87 Pro Wraps, a new division focusing upon the fast-growing vehicle-graphics market.

Entries were evaluated for their creativity, effectiveness, and technical quality. Judging took place at Roland”?s Irvine, CA headquarters under the direction of a panel of industry professionals , Roland managers, and Sheila Swanson, auto shows and special events manager for Scion.

“It was inspiring to see so many beautiful and original designs all in one place,”? says Swanson. “It was difficult to choose a winner. All the finalists demonstrated both the visual impact of a great design and the creative potential of digital-printing technology.”?
