Cranky Creative Group in Durham, North Carolina, was contracted to execute the event branding for the South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Cranky placed more than 9000 square feet of window graphics on the convention center’s front windows, executed the printing with its Mimaki JV3 with Mimaki inks, onto 70/30 window-perf media. “We run Onyx RIP 6.5 and make our own profiles,” says Cranky’s Keoni Denison.

The shop also did all the install work itself: two installers over the course of two days. “We needed a 60-foot lift to install the exterior graphics,” says Denison.

In addition to branding the event for show goers as they walked in, Cranky also wrapped various center walls and columns, installed outside banners, and “created graphics space on non-traditional surfaces for the Expo,” says Keoni Denison, Cranky’s COO.
