R-Tape announces several new additions to its Eclypse? line of pressure-sensitive laminating films for interior or exterior graphics.
New polyester laminates include PET1-G (1-mil) and PET2-G (2-mil) films. Both are designed for indoor use but will withstand severe abuse including abrasion and chemical spillage. Graffiti can be cleaned off with detergents and solvents. They are for use with inkjet, electrostatic, photographic or screen-printed images and are available in gloss finish in 38-, 51-, 54-, and 61-in. rolls.
The new 3-mil vinyl overlaminates feature a new facestock and non-yellowing adhesives for clear color transmission. The softer, more flexible films allow laminated graphics to be rolled without tunneling. The 3-mil overlaminates are available in gloss, satin, luster, and matte finishes in 38-, 51-, 54-, and 61-in. rolls.
Mar-Resistant PVC films are available in a texturized matte finish in 5-, 10-, and 15-mil thicknesses. They provide the rich look of polycarbonate laminates more affordably, and are designed for glare-free viewing of graphics. The scratch-resistant film withstands repeated handling and its adhesive system improves the resistance to tunneling, crazing, and stress whitening. In addition, the film resists yellowing, moisture, and other adverse conditions. It is available in 38-, 51-, and 54-in. rolls. (R-Tape: 800-440-1250; www.rtape.com)
