Pictographics Offers Standalone Version of iCorrect EditLab

Pictographics has released a standalone version of their iCorrect? EditLab color-correction software. The product simplifies the task of color correcting a single image or batches of images. The simple, straightforward four-step process is completed using tabs arranged in a left-to-right sequence to ensure that one step doesn't adversely affect another.

First the “Color balance” tab removes unwanted color cast. Then “White/black point,” improves tonal range within a digital image. The “Brightness/contrast/saturation” tab then corrects exposure settings. “Hue selective editing” is the last tab and it refines colors on a hue-selective basis including predefined memory colors such as skin tones, blue sky, and foliage green.

For users seeking a little more control, the software includes: ICC profile handling options; the ability to select a working color space; automatic output file-format conversion; user-selectable JPEG file compression; the ability to preserve JPEG EXIF data; and multiple “start with” modes including Smartcolor, Reset, and Previous Settings.

iCorrect EditLab is compatible with both Macs and PCs and works on these operating systems: Mac 9.2, 10.1, and 10.2 in both Native and Classic modes, and Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP. (Pictographics: www.picto.com)
