In an effort to improve printing-firm/customer communications, print buyers in Northern Kentucky and Ohio have been invited to join PIANKO's (Printing Industries Association, Inc. serving Northern Kentucky and Ohio) print buyers program.
“This is the first step in what we hope will be an amazing journey,” says Anita Herington, PIANKO's president. “By setting up a special print buyers membership group, we hope to provide products and services to the print-buying community that will make their jobs easier and their printed pieces look better.” PIANKO is appealing to print buyers who have had problems in the past with: finding a printing supplier, sending files, understanding job quotes, communicating with printing firms, finding the right substrates or inks for a job, and getting from design to production.
Print buyers join the group either as individuals ($75) or as corporate members ($175). Benefits include access to an online buyers guide of printers, newsletter, seminar discounts, publication discounts, and consulting.
Headquartered in Westerville, OH, PIANKO serves more than 500 commercial printing companies and suppliers to the industry and is an affiliate of the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, the world's largest graphic-arts association.
