OOH Advertising Warns: 'Don't Be Next'

The 2015 OBIE awards, hosted by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, celebrated simple advertising strategies that stirred up genuine feelings in its audience. “These winning campaigns need no explanation,” as the awards website put it.

TNT's apocalyptic show “The Last Ship” sponsored subway station advertisements called travelers' attention with hand sanitizer dispensers, warning “Don't be next.” Designed by creative agency mono, the campaign brought in a silver OBIE award for individual execution in the street furniture/transit/alternative category.
