Concurrent with the release of the world's first 100% all-digital interchangeable lens system for the Olympus E-1 digital SLR camera, Olympus is rolling out a global support program for professional photographers.
Registered GPS professionals will be able to get expedited repairs, toll-free technical support, loaner equipment for testing and special assignments, and warranty service in all participating countries. Initially support will be provided in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Korea. Olympus expects to offer the service in other countries in the future.
Photographers can access the service via a toll-free number with English-language support. GPS photographers can also access a special website with a database of Olympus digital photography products, an online magazine, and a gallery for participating pros. (Olympus: www.olympusamerica.com/e-1)
