New Smart-X Foam Board from 3A Composites

Smart-X graphic display board has been introduced by 3A Composites USA. A heavy-duty foam board that is 100-percent recyclable, Smart-X consists of an all-plastic sheet constructed with a moisture-resistant expanded polystyrene core and two layers of UV-resistant solid polystyrene (HIPS). Smart-X can be installed outdoors without experiencing any significant change in color for a period of up to two years, the company reports; in addition, the new board will not delaminate during exterior applications, according to 3A Composites.

Smart-X can be sawed with standard horizontal and vertical panel saws, as well as jig saws, scroll saws, profile miller, surface milling cutters, water jet cutting machines, and CNC machining centres, 3A Composites reports. Smart-X board is available in 3/16-, 3/8-, ½-, and ¾-in. thicknesses; in 48 x 96-in. sheets.
