New Roland Creative Center Showcases Innovative Applications

Roland has opened its Roland DGA Creative Center—a gallery of innovative applications produced on Roland printers—in the company’s headquarters in Irvine, California. The US gallery joins a network of other Creative Centers that include galleries in Japan, Belgium, Italy, and Germany.

The US gallery is divided into five themed sections: play, work, the movies, home, and “on the road.” More than 100 exhibits are already installed, including a replica of an 1895 Otto Lilienthal flying machine (left) that hangs from the ceiling and spans 20 feet in width, featuring fabric wing graphics produced on the company’s AdvancedJet.

Additional exhibits feature items such as engraved guitars, digitally printed beer taps, reproductions from movie sets, custom-printed window blinds, and even a home décor exhibit with a dining area, sublimated tile, and wrapped refrigerator.

“In developing the Roland DGA Creative Center, we asked our customers for their most unique projects and built museum-quality exhibits around these items,” says Dave Goward, Roland DGA president and CEO. “We are very proud of the results.”
