The Eos126 DS textile printer from Printer Evolution was introduced at ISA. The 10.5-ft printer features an on-board calendar system; Ricoh Gen-4 variable-drop grayscale printheads that produce drops of varying colors (CMYK) and sizes (7-21 pL) within a single image; and water-based EOS DS inks that have passed all Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification. It’s available in two configurations: 8 printheads (2 heads/color) or 12 printheads (3 heads/color).
The Eos126 is designed for the heavy-duty fabric producer, the company reports; it can print on digital textile fabrics and specialty materials such as open weave and stretch. Its media-handling system includes four drive motors, two precision stepping motors, synchronized dancing rollers, and an adjustable cork roller.The new printer can hit a production speed of 849 sq ft/ hr (12-head configuration). Max. roll print size is 126-in. and top resolution is 600 dpi.
