OKI Data has expanded the ColorPainter line of wide-format inkjet printers with the E-64s, a 64-in. model featuring low-odor, eco-solvent SX inks. The machine is designed for low- to mid-volume print providers producing applications such as vehicle wraps, backlit displays, and more. Production speeds can reach up to 246 sq ft/hr.
Proprietary features include Smart Pass Technology 4, Smart Nozzle Mapping 3, and Safe Scanning System. Additionally, the machine offers automatic print adjustments using optical color sensors. Ink bags, offered in 500 mL, are designed to snap in for quick changes. A redesigned air flow brings air from the rear and then blows it along the front cover for faster ink drying.
The company’s CMYKcm SX inks are Greenguard Gold-certified for safety for indoor applications; they also include a 3M MCS Warranty for outdoor graphics for up to 36 months.
CP Manager Controller Software allows users to operate the printer from a PC, and communicate with the printer via email and Twitter.
