My Press Needs Reveals Crest Clamshell Widemouth

My Press Needs has launched the Widemouth attachment for its line of Crest Clamshell cutters. Widemouth is an extension that enables users to die cut large-format structural board up to 5/8 in. thick. It is reportedly the first of its kind with the ability to cut thick substrates such as Falconboard, Foam Cor, and Ultra Board, as well as integrate touch screen and digital controls in the make-ready process. It can also cut as many as 10 sheets at a time, according to a release. The Widemouth is designed to be moved easily from a .937-in. steel rule to a 3-in. The Crest Clamshell is available in a variety of sizes, the largest of which offers a max. cutting size of 60 x 120 in.

The Crest Clamshell Widemouth is currently in beta testing at Graphic Tech.
