Matan’s New Superwide Barak 8QW

Matan Digital Printers (matanprinters.com) has launched the Barak 8QW, its newest superwide hybrid UV printer.

This 8QW features Matan’s 8-color PDS technology (CMYKcmk + Y) plus white ink, and is available in two sizes – 3- and 5-meter versions. Features include: Matan pigmented UV inks; automatic double-sided registered printing capabilities on opaque blockout media; Smooth and Glossy print modes; an optional inline finishing system (slitters and sheet cutter); a vacuum table for thin/flexible sheets; Value Pro analytics software; automatic loader/unloader; an optional wrinkle analyzer that identifies wrinkles in media and auto-adjusts the carriage height; Caldera RIP v 9.2 with Ink Performer; and more.

Top production speed on the Barak 5m is 3800 sq ft/hr; 3000 sq ft/hr on the Barak 3m. The 8QW offers a resolution up to 600 dpi (1200-dpi apparent).
