Mactac launched DesignScape3D, a mobile-tablet application designed to help wide-format printing professionals and their customers specify the right Mactac pressure-sensitive print media for their graphics applications. The app provides visual details about where wide-format graphic products are used in the real world, allowing a user to choose one of six 3D environments with rotating icons highlighting different pressure-sensitive graphic applications. For each application, DesignScape 3D suggests products and provides technical data, tips, collateral, and laminate recommendations. Available to download on tablets running iOS and Android operating systems, with a Windows system available soon.

Permacolor Horizon XL1000 Overlaminate, for horizontal surfaces on complex vehicles and fleet graphics. Permacolor Horizon is a 1.5-mil polyurethane, smooth, high-gloss film with a permanent adhesive coating.
Permacolor Permagard IP7200 Ultimate Matte overlaminate is a 3.2-mil vinyl film coated with smooth, permanent, acrylic adhesive, and has an improved zero-glare matte finish, reports Mactac. The overlaminate is coated with a high-performance solvent-based acrylic adhesive with UV inhibitors. For use on museum, photographic, fine-art, tradeshow displays, and long-term digital images.
Wallchalker CB1088R, the latest addition to Mactac’s specialty removable vinyl series, is a 4.7-mil black texturized pressure-sensitive chalkboard vinyl designed to transform any wall or table surface into a chalkboard that can be written on with chalk and chalk ink markers. It can be plotter cut. In 24- and 48-in. widths.
