Mactac Engineers New Adhesive

The new Permacolor ColorTrans CT2500 film from Mactac features the company’s self-wetting removable silicone adhesive. The self-wetting technology is designed to offer installers an optically clear application of face-mounted images without haze, according to Mactac.

Permacolor ColorTrans CT2500 second-surface mounting film can be used wet or dry and is available in permanent or removable options. The company reports it offers up to three years' outdoor durability; a six-month clean removability from glass, Plexiglas, and acrylic sheeting surfaces; and resistance to water, detergents, alcohol, some aliphatic solvents, and fading from UV light exposure. Available in 54-in. rolls.
