Lyson has expanded its line of inkjet media with Lyson 305 PhotoVelvet and 315 PhotoVelvet Plus fine art papers. The 100% rag, mold-made, matte-coated papers can be used for fine-art reproduction, albums and portfolios, menus, presentation prints, business cards, greeting cards, and postcards. PhotoVelvet is single-side coated and PhotoVelvet Plus is coated on both sides for use in portfolios and albums.
“The double-sided PhotoVelvet Plus makes the creation of museum-quality portfolios simple for the serious art photographer, while providing a competitive advantage for commercial photographers providing portfolios or albums for clients,” notes Tony Martin, president of Lyson, Inc.
The inkjet-receptive coating was formulated for use with Lyson's full line of archival dye and pigment inks to provide sharp images and optimal color gradation while retaining the traditional aesthetic of fine-art papers. The coating provides a high level of water resistance. (Lyson, Inc.: 847-690-1060; www.lyson.com)
