The International Sign Association (ISA) reports that attendance at its recent 2005 International Sign Expo in Las Vegas jumped nearly 30 percent over the previous Expo, breaking all of the association's previous records.
This year, 21,777 attended the Expo, the ISA reports, compared to 17,000 at last year's event and 16,900 in 2003. This year's Expo also set records in exhibit booth sales (1647, a 10-percent increase over 2004), the number of exhibiting companies (582, also a 10-percent increase over the previous year), and the number of attendees registered for the ISA Discovery Seminar program (3710, a 78-percent increase compared to 2004).
ISA senior vice president Brian McNamara attributes the increase in attendance to an improving economy, more educational opportunities, and access to more exhibitors than ever before. “With nearly 600 companies showing the latest in sign products, services, and technology all in one place, people in the sign business knew that Expo 2005 was the place to be,” he says.
The 2006 International Sign Expo will take place in Orlando, April 5-8. (ISA: www.signs.org)
