IPA, the Association of Graphic Solutions Providers, will hold its 2006 Technical Conference program June 6-8, 2006 at the Westin O'Hare in Rosemont, IL. Titled “Breakthrough Results from Workflow Automation,” the conference intends to offer a comprehensive look at workflow from creative to distribution. The program will provide insights on various aspects of graphic workflow and will also examine workflow “as a total integrated process.”
Returning this year are the program's Workflow and Color Proofing RoundUps:
The 2006 Workflow RoundUp will examine leading workflow systems and provide a benchmark on their ability to process files from creation through realization. In addition to examining operations such as preflight, trap, font handling, and color management, the Workflow RoundUp will test the handling of JDF instructions, XML metadata, and processing of cross-media files.
The Color Proofing RoundUp will “focus on real world proofing issues” and evaluate major commercially available proofing systems and solutions onsite during the event.
Registration fee: $695 ($795 after May 4) for non-IPA members; $595 ($695 after May 4) for IPA members.
