Ink Big has introduced BigGamut? high-performance solvent-based inks for Oce's Arizona? inkjet printers and BigVu? inks for VUTEk UltraVu? printers. The inks were developed at Ink Big's Euclid, OH headquarters by Ink Big's four founders, which have more than 30 years of combined experience in pigment, additive, and UV-cure technology for inks, plastics and coatings.
Both inksets were produced with nano-particle-size pigments and Ink Big's unique Chroma Enhancement Technology? to produce exceptionally wide gamuts and improved printhead performance.
Ink Big President Christina Short claims that the technology they have pioneered provides the most vibrant pigmented inksets in the digital-graphics industry. The BigGamut inks for Arizona printers are formulated to provide vibrant oranges, scarlets, greens, blues and violets, in addition to a jet black with strong blue undertones. The BigVu inks offer a true jet black and are designed to produce cleaner, brighter oranges, violets and greens.
Ink Big's Director of Research and Technology Steve Szewczyk claims that the nano-particle-size pigments used in the inks minimize inkjet clogging and pigment-abrasion-related wear on the printheads. Ink Big claims that the BigGamut inks also clean and lubricate the printheads and unclog seasoned printheads for longer use.
BigVu inks are available in 4-, 6-, or 8-color inksets for the Vutek UltraVu 2360, 2600, 3360, 5300 and 5330 models. Big Gamut inks are available in 4- and 6-color inksets for the Arizona 90, 180, 500 and T220 inkjet printers. (Ink Big Corp.: 877-404-1300; e-mail: sales@inkbigco.com)
