Hahnemuhle's New Fine-Art Media

Hahnemuhle FineArt has introduced several
new lines of media:

“?The White Velvet is similar to German
Etching. It is a bright white, strong velvet
surface that contains 255 Rag and is
coated to ensure accurate, high-fidelity
color reproduction, outstanding saturation,
and D-max. White Velvet is available
in cut sheets (24 x 36 and 35 x 46.75 in.)
and 24- to 44-in. rolls.

“?Hahnemuhle wide-format media in
24 x 36-in. sheets: German Etching 310
gsm, Photo Tag 460 gsm, and White Velvet
268 gsm. These media are compatible
with the Epson Stylus Pro 7600, 9600,
and 10600, as well as with Mimaki,
Mutoh, and Roland printers.

“?The Lumijet Preservation Series has
a new coating, and is now optimized for
pigmented inks. The papers have the
same basic textures from the old Preservation
Series media. New to the series are
Masters Canvas 350 gsm and Woven
Fibre 200 gsm. The Master Canvas is an
instant-dry, microporous bright white
canvas for fine-art reproduction. In addition,
the new series also contains: Classic
Velour 290 gsm, Flaxen Weave, 205 gsm,
Museum Parchment 210 gsm, and Radiant
White Rag 290 gsm. The thickness of
Museum Parchment has been reduced
from 285 to 210 gsm, making it easier to
feed through inkjet printers.

“?Hahnemuhle also announced three
new Lumijet double-sided media: Art Two
Sides, Silk Two Sides, and Velvet Two Sides.
The additions to the Lumijet double-sided
family allow artists and photographers
more choices of textures when producing
a portfolio. Art Two Sides has a matte surface
and a 9-mil fibre base paper. Silk Two
Sides
is a natural white paper with a subtle,
canvas-like textured surface. Velvet
Two Sides
is a smooth, natural-white,
inkjet matte paper for detailed images.

In addition, Hahnemuhle is introducing
its Pro Kit and myartregistry.com. The Pro
Kit contains Art Proof paper, Certificates of
Authenticity, a CD of ICC profiles, and samples
of Hahnemuhle products. Myartregistry.
com is a website where artists can
store information about their artwork for
free; it is meant to publicly register the
authenticity of their work. (Hahnemuhle Fineart USA: www.hahnemuhle.com)
