An “Innovation Gallery” in the Wide-Format Pavilion of the
Graph Expo? 2003 Conference and show Sept. 28-Oct. 1 in Chicago
will spotlight the growing range of sellable products that can be
created on wide-format inkjets, including decorated textiles, vehicle
wraps, displays, and fine-art reproductions.
As the show's Wide-Format Pavilion organizer Sonia O'Donnell
points out, “Business opportunity and artistic expression are
closely linked in the world of wide-format digital inkjet printing.”
The Innovation Galley is being assembled in partnership with
Chicago-based museum curator Jeanne Long.
Hugo Prado, a Peruvian-born artist who specializes in automotive art,
will be on hand to sign copies of a poster of his painting, The Last
Corvette Dale Raced. The 22- x 28-in poster reproduces a painting
Prado created of a Corvette driven by the late Dale Earnhardt.
Reproductions will be output on Intelicoat Magic? media on a VUTEk
UltraVu 2360 inkjet printer. Prado will be in the Gallery from 10 am to
noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm on the first three days of the show: Sept.
28-Oct. 30.
The Big Picture magazine is one of the sponsors of the Wide
Format Pavilion and will also be exhibiting at Graph Expo. (Graph Expo:
