Gerber Scientific Products has added a new flatbed digital cutter and router to its M Series family, the M Turbo.
Features include a 1-kilowatt electric router, allowing users to rout .080 aluminum and thick rigid materials up to 1-inch thick, such as wood and acrylic. The M Turbo also can rout thinner rigid boards, like aluminum composite materials, up to four times faster than the company’s standard M Series router, Gerber reports. And the M Turbo offers new software improvements allowing the user to control the RPMs at which the M Turbo routs.
The M Turbo’s high-powered router head is configured into the M Series T3 Tool Head design, so the M Turbo can take advantage of all of all the standard M Series tools, including reciprocating knife, crease wheel, tangential knives, and more. The M Turbo also features the company’s M-Vision optical-registration system and zoned vacuum system to allow for accurate material hold down.
Active cutting area is 75 x 120 inches. Maximum cutting speed is 30 inches/second.
