The latest version of Fujifilm's ColourKit (4.0) is a full-featured suite of applications that allow users to make, edit, and process color profiles. Developed in accordance with version 4 ICC specifications, the software is available in several modules that can be purchased as a suite or individually as a customer's needs expand.
The full suite includes profile-making and profile-editing modules for monitors, cameras, and scanners. An image processor and image editor can also be purchased. ColourKit features a “wizard-based” interface that walks both novice and experts through the profile-making process. It also allows comprehensive editing of both input and output profiles and can edit both RGB and CMYK images.
“The quality of the final image is directly related to the quality of the profiles, but the application or workflow that makes the color conversions is equally important,” notes Fujifilm's Eric Neumann. “ColourKit uses the standard Apple color management modules (CMM) coupled with ColourKit image processor module to account for many issues that the standard CMM overlooks, including such things as USM, black generation, white and black point adjustments, and resampling.”

ColourKit is compatible with Windows 2000 and XP as well as Mac OS-X; it also supports the EyeOne spectrophotometer.
