EskoArtwork has completed the acquisition of Mikkelsen Graphic Engineering, Inc. (MGE), the developer of the i-cut vision system for cutting tables in the digital-printing, signmaking, and screenprinting marketplaces. MGE also has been EskoArtwork's distributor for the Kongsberg i-XL and i-XE digital converting tables into the US sign and display markets since 2004. MGE's operations will be organized as a strategic business unit within the EskoArtwork structure under the leadership of Steen Mikkelsen, MGE's founder.
'Getting full access to EskoArtwork's innovative hardware and software technology base and being a part of its global distribution network will improve our abilities to provide the best possible solutions for our customers and partners across all market segments and geographies', says Mikkelsen, who becomes vice president at EskoArtwork. 'The team at MGE and I are looking very much forward to join forces with our EskoArtwork colleagues and to take on the new initiatives we have identified together during the planning of this acquisition.'
MGE began in the mid-1980s as Sign-Tronic USA and changed its name to Mikkelsen Graphic Engineering in 1996. The company has grown from a six-person company in 1996 to a 38 person company today. It has corporate office in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and sales offices located in California, Arizona and Germany.
