EFI Launches Fiery Digital Front End Platform

EFI has introduced a new generation of its Fiery digital front end (DFE) platform with Fiery FS200 Pro. The new platform will feature CMYK+ tools for more precise color matching up to 8 colors, as well as connectivity with other JDF-based devices and EFI’s MIS/ERP and web-to-print products. It will also offer Fiery HyperRIP, which processes up to 55% faster than other DFEs, according to the company. HyperRIP includes a multiple-job mode for up to four simultaneous projects, as well as a Rush RIP mode that opens up a fifth RIP for last-minute projects. Digital presses that incorporate Fiery FS200 Pro will be available in the third quarter of this year.
