EFI has released EFI Fiery FS350 Pro digital front end (DFE) software, which drives presses across sheetfed, high-speed continuous feed, B1 folding carton, and corrugated digital production systems, including both toner and inkjet technologies. Enhancements in color and imaging, productivity, management tools, and connectivity include: added image editing capabilities; support for Adobe APPE 4.4; enhanced management and estimating for printers with white, metallic, clear, or spot colors, plus Smart White feature for efficient use of white ink; and new Fiery Installer Builder for improved system maintenance.
The software also includes an integration between EFI Fiery DFEs and Duplo Raised Spot UV Coater which reduces seven previously manual file preparation tasks down to one step, including creating separate CMYK and spot UV files, page impositioning, applying registrations marks and barcodes, submitting CMYK and spot UV files to Fiery-driven printers and Duplo DDC-810 coaters.
