Dye Sublimation Makes a Statement

The atrium at the Brussels headquarters of Belgian bank Beobank was sunlight-filled and vast enough to make an impression, but was lacking just one thing: a statement piece. So, photography lab J.J. Micheli teamed with artist Yves Ullens to produce these striking centerpieces, dubbed “Crescend’O,” to ornament the space.

The mounting arrangement of the eight columns, which measure 24 x 24 inches with varying heights up to 126 inches, was designed to allow light to pour into the cafeteria without the eatery becoming the atrium’s focal point. The graphics were printed with an Epson dye-sublimation machine onto ChromaLuxe specially coated metal media – a global debut for the product.
