Mimaki has doubled the bed size of its JFX200-2513 UV-LED printer to create the new JFX200-2531 model. With dual origin points and a user-controllable, twin independent vacuum pump system, the design allows operators to position multiple pieces as large as two 4 x 8-ft boards on the bed, and unload and load on one side while production is continued on the other. Users can also print oversized materials up to 98.4 x 122 x 2 in.
Features include threaded layout pins for accurate media registration at either origin point, an ionizer bar to minimize static electricity, and low-heat UV-LED lamps for printing on heat-sensitive substrates. The 10-ft table ships in two parts; Mimaki says most standard double doorway entrances will accommodate each part with little to no modifications.
Users can choose from a number of ink sets for a variety of applications:
• LH-100 (CMYK + white and clear) for high scratch and chemical resistance;
• LUS-150 (CMYKcm + white) for balanced adhesion and flexibility;
• LUS-200 (CMYK + white) for more flexible outdoor applications;
• And LUS-350 (CMYK + white) for up to 350% elongation for thermoforming applications.
Jettable primer is also available for each configuration.
The company’s proprietary technologies include Mimaki Advanced Pass System for the reduction of banding, Waveform Control, Mimaki Circulation Technology for white ink maintenance, and Nozzle Recovery System.
