Dr. Graphix's new solvent media line, DelSol, contains nine new products using eight different substrates.
DelSol TR Photo Gloss media are based on the company's TR51 tear-resistant inkjet media line and offer specific products compatible with eco-solvent Mimaki/Mutoh and Roland printers. These biodegradable polypropylene-based materials offer a top-coating that makes the media glossy, instant-dry, and water-fast. They are 8-mil thick, can be grommetted or sewn, and do not require lamination. They are formulated for use with solvent printers and are available in 42-, 50-, and 60-in. rolls. A satin version of this media will soon be released.
DelSol PVC 10 and 13 oz Banner, for use by solvent, eco-solvent, and oil-based printers, features a tear-resistant polyester fabric embedded between two white vinyl layers. The 10- and 15-mil thick substrates offer a water-resistant, matte coating that can be sewn and grommeted, and are available in rolls up to 98 in. wide.
DelSol Luxury Gold and Silver Films have a textured surface, provide excellent ink adhesion, superior bleed control, can be laminated with cold or low-temp laminates, and offers excellent tear-resistance. The 7-mil films, designed for use by solvent printers, are electroplated to prevent fading and are available in 36-, 50- and 60-in. rolls.
DelSol Bock Out Scrim Vinyl is an opaque, flexible PVC banner with a high tear-resistant polyester material between two layers of white vinyl. This 15-mil solvent media is water-resistant, can be sewn or grommeted, drapes with ease, and provides high opacity to block distracting backlights and shadows. It can be used in indoor and outdoor applications, and is available in 38-, 54-, and 60-in. rolls.
DelSol Adhesive Gloss Vinyl is a 10-mil self-adhesive calendered vinyl with a high gloss that is compatible with solvent inks. It's available in 38-, 54-, and 60-in rolls and can be mounted on a variety of media and laminated.
DelSol Mesh Banner, for use in one-way view-through applications, will adhere to windows and other flat surfaces and features an easy-to-install/remove adhesive. It is 13-mil thick, has high water resistance without lamination, single-sided coating, and can be used indoor and outdoor applications. It is compatible with solvent-based inks, and is available in 38-, 54-, and 60-in. standard rolls and special sizes including 72-, 84-, and 98-in. widths. (Dr. Graphix Imaging : www.drgraphix.com)
