Callas Launches pdfCorrect

Callas Software's callas pdfCorrect is an
Adobe Acrobat plug-in for Acrobat 6 and 7
that not only identifies PDF problems but
also fixes them. Designed for prepress
experts, creative professionals, and publishers,
it can detect and correct more than
100 PDF problems, says the company,
including: overprint problems, PostScript
objects, and OPI comments. In addition, it
can prepare files for PDF/X1-a or PDF/X-3
standards; other profiles provide for sheet
or web printing, and prepare PDF files for
use in newspaper or magazine ads.

PdfCorrect runs on Mac OS X and Windows
2000/XP operating systems. A single-
user license is approximately $193. (Callas Software: www.callassoftware.com)
