Barbieri Spectro LFP RT Spectrophotometer Debuts

Barbieri Electronic, based in Italy, has introduced the Barbieri Spectro LFP (for “Large Format Printing”) RT spectrophotometer. The device will automatically measure the color spectrum of a large variety of film and paper materials up to 20 mm thick”?including vinyl, textiles, cardboard, plastic, gypsum, wood, glass, stone, and ceramics.

The Spectro LFP measures in both reflection and transmissive modes to color manage digital output and to help create ICC profiles. It can measure output media from both photo and inkjet graphics, and will create an ICC profile of 1248 fields in approximately 10 minutes.

Options include a UV filter and a sample holder for extra-heavy materials. Compatible with PCs and Macs, the Spectro LFP is distributed to the professional market in the US by Colex Imaging. (Barbieri Electronic: www.barbierielectronic.com; Colex Imaging: www.colex.com)
