Avery Dennison Announces Business Boot Camps for 2019, Including Special Session at ISA International Sign Expo

Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions announced its Business Boot Camp for Wrap Professionals schedule for 2019. This workshop, introduced in 2018, is focused on how to successfully run a business in the vinyl wrap industry, and each session is led by Justin Pate of The Wrap Institute and John Duever of Vinyl Images and Design.

“Our Business Boot Camp made such an amazing impact on the shop owners and employees that took the course in 2018,” said Abby Monnot, Sr. Global Segment Manager, Automotive Aftermarket for Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions. “There are so many facets of a wrap business that contribute to improved efficiency and increased profits, and we feel that we’re leading the way in creating more well-rounded wrap professionals.”

During each session, Pate, Duever and other industry leaders take turns focusing on important aspects that contribute to long-term success in the vinyl wrap industry. Some of these topics include staffing, equipment, sales, design, production, marketing and day-to-day record keeping.

“The Business Boot Camp was an excellent experience. We have come out of it with a higher level of organization and accountability inside the shop,” said Cameron Olson, president, The Graphics Co. “In addition, the networking opportunity is invaluable. You can’t put a price on relationships, and that is what comes out of events like this. You are in a room for two days with like-minded industry professionals who are willing to share and be open about what has helped them be successful.”

The first Business Boot Camp of 2019 will be held February 15-16, 2019 at Car Wrap City in Dallas, Texas. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with the guest speakers and members of the Avery Dennison Graphics Team during a reception to be held in the evening on the first day of the class.

Also included in the February course is a special presentation from James “Ruggs” Kochevar, the publisher of Sign & Digital Graphics and Wraps magazines. Kochevar is known for his presence in print and online media, as well as his role in organizing WRAPSCON. During his presentation, he will offer his unbiased perspective on wrap trends, mobile advertising, image awareness, branding and overall marketing strategies that utilize wraps.

The second Business Boot Camp will be a day-long event, included as part of the pre-conference at ISA International Sign Expo 2019. This special session will be held Tuesday, April 23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, one day before the opening of the expo.

Additional classes are scheduled for later in 2019.  Full course descriptions and registration information are available at graphics.averydennison.com/bootcamp, and further details on Avery Dennison graphics products and training can be found at graphics.averydennison.com or by contacting Avery Dennison at 800-282-8379.
