The fifth generation of Aurelon Graphic Software is available for Mac OS X, OS 9, and Windows NT, 2000, and XP platforms. Aurelon Graphic Software includes the Signalize! production suite for large-format printing and signmaking and DeskCheck software for prepress proofing. In addition compatibility with new operating systems, version 5 includes rendering intents for photo printing and proofing, updated color libraries, automatic USB printer recognition and installation, job ticket printing with customizable job-info footnotes, and support for seven-color printer profiling.
Signalize! incorporates a visual PDF and PostScript editor, a software RIP, and ICC-compatible calibration module. It is available in single-user editions or can be used in multi-user, networked production environments that use both Macs and PCs. A CAS production module outputs vector-based data for cutting devices, or the software can be used to drive wide-format inkjets that have onboard cutters. The Signalize Editor module provides editing and drawing tools for operations such as designing objects, dimensioning, text editing, trapping, scanning and vectorizing, and creating special visual effects. Color controls make it possible to match multiple color spaces and embed color profiles to any single object on a page. Signalize supports about 200 makes and models of inkjet printers, vinyl cutters, thermal-transfer printers, and hybrid print-cut machines.
DeskCheck software converts a desktop inkjet printer into to an easy-to-use, color-accurate proofing system. It uses the same PDF engine and RIP as Signalize, plus Aurelon's proprietary nColor Engine? technology.
