Artisan Colour’s Frankie DeAnda Receives G7 Expert Certification

Artisan Colour is excited to announce that resident Color Manager, Frankie DeAnda, has received G7 Expert certification, issued by Idealliance.

G7 is Idealliance’s industry-leading set of specifications and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes and ensuring all printing has a predictable and consistent final appearance. The G7 methodology has become the modern standard for print calibration and device-to-device consistency.

Idealliance, the G7 certifying association, is a global collective of brands, printers, and technology companies all leading the development of specifications and certifications in the graphics communications industry.

Over the past 22 years at Artisan Colour, DeAnda has honed his color management, process and quality control skills needed to truly become an expert in the industry. He earned his G7 Expert certification by completing intensive classroom-based training, including color specifications, print analysis, and a certification exam.

Frankie has kept us tightly color calibrated through each industry advance, from SWOP/GRACol and evolving to the modern application of G7,” said Artisan Colour President and CEO Doug Bondon.

Artisan Colour began as a catalog production company in 1998. During it’s first five years, Artisan built a reputation as one of the top catalog production and color management companies in the nation, winning clients such as Neiman Marcus, Chico’s, Patagonia and Sundance Catalog. Artisan has since added other highly recognizable national brands including Prana, Johnston & Murphy, Filson and Tommy John, many of which DeAnda works closely with throughout the catalog printing process.

Artisan was quick to celebrate this accomplishment on the heels of the challenging pandemic year. Going forward into 2021, the color experts are embracing the PANTONE colors of the year (PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating) and the strength, joy and optimism these colors elicit for the year ahead.
