Ahlstrom has added to its range of Silco Flat release papers for pressure-sensitive-adhesive (PSA) graphics with the addition of newly developed products for large-format applications and for plotter-cut films.
The Helsinki, Finland-based company has introduced:
* Ahlstrom Silco Flat Premium, for demanding graphic applications. It boasts an increased top and backside smoothness to enhance the vinyl film glossiness as well as a backside moisture barrier.
* Ahlstrom Silco Flat HB, designed specifically for plotter-cut films. It features a high internal bond to enable a cut with a high degree of precision, even with complex shapes or small letters, the company reports, and its high topside smoothness delivers a high gloss and avoids orange peel effect.
Both releases papers are made of natural fibers and are recyclable and biodegradable.
Ahlstrom operates five release-papers production sites, four in Europe and one in South America. The company has sales offices in 28 countries around the world, including its US sales office in Marietta, Georgia.
