3P's new TruColor Fabric Line for Solvent Printers

At the recent SGIA show in Atlanta, 3P announced TruColor, a new fabric line for solvent inkjets, as well as two new products in their EXPRESS Banner line.

The eight fabrics in the TruColor line were developed with an inkjet coating specifically for users of solvent printers; the fabrics can also be printed using UV-curable printers. 3P claims no more misty colors or fuzzy characters. All TruColor fabrics are available in 42-, 54-, 64- and 72-in. wide rolls.

-Canvas is an 11-oz mix of 65% polyester/35% cotton andcan be used for both indoor and fine-art applications, including signs, photographs, and banners.

-Cotton is a 10-oz, 100% cotton fabric with a matte finish for indoor banners, exhibit booths, indoor signs, window displays, and curtains.

-Glassfibre is an 8-oz, 100% inflammable glassfibre with a matte finish.

-Light Banner is a 5-oz coated polyester designed for any outdoor application, including banners and signs.

-Heavy Banner is a very opaque flame-retardant, 7-oz coated polyester for outdoor applications such as banners, curtains, and window displays.

-Banner Gloss is a 4-oz knitted and rip-proof glossy polyester for outdoor banners, flags, exhibit booths, and signs.

The new low-cost Express Banner polyester materials can be printed with pigment- or dye-based inks on large-format thermal or piezo inkjet printers. You can also print with dye sublimation inks (which must be heat set). The prints are weatherproof if printed with pigmented inks and dried for 24 hours before being placed outdoors.
