WINDOW GRAPHICS ARE a unique way for brick-and-mortar stores to stand out. All you need are a few windows as your canvas and you can immediately change the look of a retail location, or even create privacy from those walking by. A shop or restaurant with good visibility from the street and a large set of windows can be taken to extreme branding heights with the right professional design and installation partner. Westmount Signs & Printing
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Westmount Signs & Printing specializes in expert installations in the Waterloo area. They’ve completed interior projects for corporate buildings – like British Pride Imports, which needed privacy graphics – and exterior work for condo leasing offices – like 660 Belmont Ave. British Pride Imports’ installation was done using a Roland Truevis VG2-540 printer onto Avery cast vinyl with gloss laminate. The 660 Belmont window graphics were designed by artist Nicole Beno and were printed on the same Roland printer onto Avery Translucent with 210 matte laminate.
Tip: When taking photos to show off your design, print, and install skills, don’t forget to get day and night shots. The lighting can make a big difference.
Imageco
Leeds, West Yorkshire, England
The world-famous Dr. Martens Shoes needed window graphics to adorn their retail location in Leeds while the store’s interior was being renovated. Imageco turned the windows into advertisements for their new collection, while simultaneously blocking out the construction going on inside and providing some privacy to the renovators. All of the graphics were printed using Imageco’s HP Latex 800W printer onto Drytac SpotOn SynTac wall graphic media and ViziPrint Deco clear window film.
Tip: Remind local businesses that you offer graphics to help hide any current construction or remodeling.
Signs Revolution
Charlotte, North Carolina
Signs Revolution helped Yoyo’s Banquet Hall transport their guests from North Carolina all the way to Chicago by installing 410 square feet of graphics along the interior of the building’s windows. To print the graphics, Signs Revolution used a Sinocolor UV Flatbed Printer FB2513-S onto 3M Controltac IJ160-C calendered translucent vinyl. The vinyl was laminated using Oracal Oraguard Calendered Gloss overlaminate to set the scene for the guests coming into the mock Windy City skyscraper.
Tip: If your client wants a location-themed installation, suggest graphics from a different environment than the one they’re in.
