Xitron’s new Xenith Aero RIP is based on Adobe core technology and will be offered to the marketplace in two versions based on size of output: Aero 4 supports output up to 32.67 x 26.6 in., while Aero 8 supports up to 45.6 x 37 in. For even larger output, a VLF option is available.

Standard features on all versions include: Adobe job tickets, ink re-mapping, PDF creation and preflighting, norm proofing, automated in-RIP trapping, soft proofing, in-RIP imposition, and automated archiving. Other features include: the ability to submit pages as they are completed rather than waiting until the entire job is complete; JDF options; and automatically tracked revisions that provide a history of all job changes.

The Xenith Aero RIP supports various printers, including models from: Canon, Kodak (Encad), Epson, HP, Mutoh, and others. A complete list is available on the Xitron website.

Xenith Aero is being offered as a bundled solution that includes Xenith Aero software, Xenith Aero Server, output-device interface, on-site installation, training for two primary operators, and 3 yr of Xitron TotalCare support. Those purchasing Aero 4 can later purchase an upgrade to Aero 8.
