Xerox Offers New Media and Printer

Xerox has introduced three new media for its iGen3 110 digital production press; the DocuMagnet and Document Folders can also be printed using several other Xerox DocuColor printers.

“? Xerox UltraMagnet is a flexible 17-mil media with a glossy-coated print side that can be used to print promotional calendar, store signage, and magnets. The media comes in 12.125 x 18.250-in. sheets. After printing, the media can be magnetized in a separate offline process, before trimming or die-cutting.

“? Xerox DocuMagnet is a 2.125 x 3.75-in. magnetized ID card on a 8.5 x 11-in. carrier sheet. After printing, it can be peeled off the carrier sheet for use as appointment reminders and business cards. It's available as Xerox Color Xpresssion+ 60-lb stock or one-side coated Xerox Supreme Gloss paper.

“? Xerox Document Folders are fully printable one- or two-pocket personalized folders. Users first print on the 18 x 12-in. sheet, then affix the pockets to the sheet using pre-applied transfer tape. The folders are available in Color Xpressions+ and Supreme Gloss Document Folders stock.

In addition, Xerox has released a new printer for the AEC market”?the Xerox 6024. A wide-format black-and-white printer designed for quick reproduction of engineering renderings, maps, and mechanical drawings, it's available in a print-only or a scan-print model. The 36-in. printer scans at 600 x 600-dpi resolution and can print four 24 x 36-in. images in 1 minute. The printer also features a printer controller, an Ethernet connection, and is Windows compatible. The list price of the printer-only configuration is $13,000; the printer-scanner lists at $16,825.
