Educational & Solution eLearning Courses for Printers

Fundamentals of Color and Appearance (FOCA) – This six-module course explains the basics of color theory and how to communicate both color and color differences. It covers the physics of color, the role of lighting, spectrophotometers and color data, how to view color, and much more.  This course is available through X-Rite and Coursera.

Going Beyond Density – Predictable, repeatable color starts with a consistent process. This course focuses on achieving optimal process control on an offset press by moving beyond measuring just the density of solid inks and introduces tools and methodologies to help printers establish a more controlled press environment.

eXact 2 Training – Designed to help train new users and easily onboard employees, this course features 24 self-paced videos that explain and demonstrate how to use the eXact 2 handheld spectrophotometer and ecosystem of software. The videos walk users through the device features and settings and explain how to take measurements, use color libraries and profiles, leverage quality control and reporting software, and maintain the device.
