Wrap Sheet: An RV Renovation

Brandvizion refreshes a recreational vehicle with 500 square feet of graphics.

“Our specialty is customers that wait until the last minute for huge jobs and then come to us to save the day,” laughs Myles Proseus, an installer/printer/jack-of-all-trades at Chantilly, Virginia’s Brandvizion. The brand and communications company has saved the day for more than a few clients, printing onto any substrate imaginable, from surfboards and antique pine boards to rusty steel plates and ceiling tiles.

The shop was in for a one-of-a-kind job when Orangetheory Fitness came in, envisioning an RV as bold as the gym’s vibrant brand. Always up for a challenge, the shop printed 500 square feet of graphics onto 3M Controltac IJ180 film with an EFI Vutek GS2000 printer. It took Proseus a little over a week to install the huge wrap: “It was definitely tedious,” he comments. “Each panel on the RV is curved almost every inch. It’s like siding on a house – almost to where I could not get a flat spot to even put a squeegee.” But it paid off: “It’s a design you can see from outer space; it was really cool to see that driving away.”
