Paradigm Imaging Group has announced the K-IS-A0FW Arch E Single CCD Sensor scanner from Kurabo, a 36 x 48-in. flatbed scanner for scanning museum art, textiles, and delicate documents. The machine is designed to protect valuable originals by keeping them stationary during the imaging process. It is equipped with a Dual White LED system for forward and backward scanning; the light intensity can be controlled individually, enabling 3D effects by emphasizing shadows of textured images. An Arch E-sized color document can be scanned in 17 sec or less in 300-dpi, high-speed mode, according to Paradigm. Resolution ranges from 50 to 2000 dpi and is adjustable by increments of 1.

Additional features include a built-in document counter and standard operating software. Options include a foot switch and Aupier-Gigastitch software.
