When Big Prints Plus in Montana discovered that a Hilton Garden Inn had been planned for Missoula, the company wasted no time in getting in touch with the prospective client??”??”??s interior designer. ??”????I sent her some samples of digital wallpaper,??”??”? says Big Prints Plus??”??”??s Randy Stekly. This got the company signed on to the Hilton project, which comprised a Buffalo wall mural for its private dining room, the output of vintage maps of Montana??”??”??s larger cities for the conference rooms, and images of historic poker scenes and slot machines for the inn??”??”??s casino area.

For the Buffalo digital wall mural in the dining room, images were sourced from the National Bison Range and from a local photographer, then scanned on Stekly??”??”??s Epson Perfection 4870 flatbed scanner. The large bull graphics/images were built into the digital file; a drop shadow provides the faux three-dimensionality. Stekly added the sepia color tone for historic effect.

Big Prints Plus then utilized its Kodak Encad NovaJet 850 and imaged onto 112 sq ft of InteliCoat DMiBOP indoor/outdoor inkjet banner paper with Graphic Outdoor Plus (GO+) inks. An InteliCoat Fluorex laminate was applied using the shop??”??”??s Seal Image 62 Plus laminator.

The project??”??”??s vintage map and casino images were handled in much the same manner, and all were output via the NovaJet 850 using GO+ inks onto InteliCoat Magic DMiBOP paper with InteliCoat Fluorex laminate. After the casino images were printed and laminated, they were wrapped around a wooden backer frame to add dimension to the photos, then mounted to the wall.
