Visitors to the 2003 exhibition of the International Textile Machinery Association Oct. 22-29 in Birmingham, England can expect to see several major developments in digital textile printing, with groundbreaking capabilities in terms of productivity, image quality, and novel applications. To help visitors better understand these developments, Web Consulting is offering “Digital Textile Preview” seminars on Oct. 24 at 10 am and 2 pm. Each seminar includes full updates on digital printing technology, impartial profiles of leading suppliers, and reviews of “must-see” equipment and consumables on the floor at ITMA. They will also provide a sneak peek of the new Digital Textile magazine from World Textile Publications.

The preview is “?80 for advance purchase and “?120 if purchased after Oct. 17. Each participant will be given a printed version of all preview slides; binders can be ordered after Oct. 27 for “?40.

Web Consulting will also be offering a half-day “Digital Textile Walkabout” tours of the ITMA Exhibition from Oct. 25-29. Tours are “?110 with a limit of five per group (participants are responsible for their own ITMA exhibition entry fees).

In addition, Web Consulting will be offering a “Digital Textile Resource Book” to participants at “?50 (normally “?80) which provides manufacturers, supplier, and product information for digital textile printing, sampling and proofing, including printing equipment, finishing equipment, colorants and textile substrates and media.

“ITMA 2003 will be a landmark event for the textile industry which all key textile personnel should attend,” says Chris Byrne, managing textile consultant at Web Consulting. “We appreciate the need for textile executives to make their visits as cost-effective as possible, so we will filter the most relevant digital textile data and provide impartial answers to burning questions. People who can afford to spend four or five days at ITMA may manage to find out everything they need by themselves. We are concentrating on services for those with less time, or who need totally impartial advice.” (Web Consulting: www.webconsulting.co.uk; ITMA 2003: www.itmalive.com)
