Wallcoverings Association Honors Al Rothschild

The Wallcoverings Association (WA) has chosen Al Rothschild, president of MDC Wallcoverings, for the Justin Allman Award. It’s “presented each year to a leader whose long-lasting contributions have helped to shape the future of the wallcoverings industry,” according to a release. The award was established in 1946 in honor of the founder of the Wallcoverings Wholesalers Association, an earlier adaptation of the WA.

Rothschild’s contributions include industry outreach and education, as well as work on the WA’s sustainability initiatives. The award was presented February 1 at the WA’s annual meeting in Clearwater, Florida.

The WA supports distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers of residential and commercial wallcoverings, offering education, events, industry standards, and more.
