“With more than 2 million Wacom pen tablets in use, Wacom is changing the way people work and play with computers,” says Joseph Deal, president and CEO of Wacom Technology. The company hopes to continue that trend with their new Graphire3 pen tablets.

Bundled with software for enhancing digital photos, the cordless, battery-free pen tablets have a transparent photo frame with which users can personalize their photos and drawings or trace pictures, diagrams and illustrations. The Graphire3 tablets are available in two sizes. For $99.99 users can buy a model with a 4- x 5-in. active area. For $199, users can buy a version with 6- x 8-in. active area with more space for navigating, editing photos, painting or adding a signature.

The Graphire 3 comes in sapphire blue, pearl white, or graphite gray. Bundled software includes Adobe Photoshop Elements 1.0, Painter Classic by Corel, and penPalette LE by nik multimedia.

Wacom, a leading manufacturer of pen tablets, interactive pen displays, and pen input technology, introduced the first cordless, battery-free, pressure-sensitive pen in 1989. (Wacom Technology Corporation: www.wacom.com)
